The fishing at the beginning of the week was great caught this nice 38" Musky about an hour into our day. We also lost a really nice mid 40" fish. It was only hooked by 1 hook on the tail of the Believer, we had it half way in the net when it started thrashing and flipped out of the net.. Oh well it happens but I'm glad my net man was the witness Mike Annable...
Spent about 10-12 hours a day Charting out the River and here's a picture on the top side of the Dalles Rapids on the Lower French River. Water temps are at 73 degrees great for pike and bass but the pickerel don't like it so they are still down in Georgian Bay enjoying the colder water. The Pickerel should start to head back up river in the next 4 weeks when the water starts to cool off.
Beautiful morning watching the sun rise. It looks like a sunset but with the smoke in the skies from the wild fires burning in northern Ontario its definitely a strange sky.
The end to an awesome week and looking forward to try to catch the big Musky that broke the tail off my Believer so if someone catches a Musky with half a lure stuck in its mouth please contact me... Lol
